The occlusal appliance is one of the most common treatments
extended to the patient suffering with a temporomandibular
disorder. The clinician needs to appreciate that an appliance
does not help all TM disorders, but can be useful with certain
muscle conditions. In this lecture, Dr. Okeson presents a
simple and straight-forward technique to fabricate a
stabilization appliance. Each step of the fabrication is
presented with photos and video clips making the procedures
easy to use in your office. This technique requires minimum
laboratory support and can be fabricated in one office visit.
