In this second part of the orofacial pain series; Dr. Okeson describes some less common neurovascular pain
disorders such as cluster headache and paroxysmal hemicrania. He also presents the clinical characteristics of
vascular pains, as well as neuritis and neuralgias. The most well know neuralgia is trigeminal neuralgia and the
clinical characteristics, etiology and management this episodic neuropathic pain disorder is presented in detail.
A video tape of a patient suffering with trigeminal neuralgia is present to better appreciate this very painful
condition.
