A TMD and Orofacial Pain Patient Education Manual

This patient education manual has 24 colored photographs that
helps the clinician explain to the patient some of the most
common temporomandibular disorders and orofacial pain
conditions. Intracapsular conditions such as joint clicking and
locking are clearly illustrated. Pain referral is demonstrated in a
manner the patient can understand. There are illustrations that
provide a simple way to help patients understand the relationship
between emotional stress and their pain.

clear appreciation of their problem and the various factors that influence their pain can better participate
in their own therapy.
The manual is made with a plastic cover that is easily cleansed for use in the dental cubical. The
clinician is provided a key that explains the most important aspects of each photograph. Th manual is
available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
